  Kohler (plumbing fixtures)---Our architect chose the Purist line of products from Kohler for this home before he even finished the plans for the house. He believed that the style of the product would be a perfect complement to the planned “cutting edge” combination of contemporary and traditional in this Alabama farm house. Kohler was also a natural choice when considering style, function, water conservation and economy for the balance of the plumbing fixtures.  

 Lennox (heating and air conditioning)---Lennox was the perfect choice for energy conservation and comfort.  

 Thermador (appliances)---Of course, nothing sets the stage for style as do the chosen appliances. Further, the choice of appliances is a huge consideration in planning for energy conservation. After a thorough evaluation of the top manufacturers of appliances, Thermador was the exclusive choice for this Showcase Home. 

  Interceramic (tiles)---One of the most distinguishing characteristics of this home is the design of the tile on the bathroom floors and walls. Not only did Interceramic offer the best value in tile choices, they designed the tile in each bathroom to perfectly complement the setting.  

 Jeld-Wen (windows)---Nine months of each year the breezes coming up our mountains from the lake are a welcome amenity. But, for those other three months, we’re pleased that we have Jeld-Wen windows to keep that breeze at bay.   

 Belgard (pavers)---The cooking patio of Belgard pavers is a classic complement to the locally-harvested stone used on the Showcase Home.  

 Elco Lighting (light fixtures)---The lighting fixtures for this Showcase Home were important for many reasons other than the amount of energy they consumed. Design Lighting helped us choose the best fixtures for the proper mix of aesthetics and economics.  

 Sherwin-Williams (paints and stains)---All of the paint chosen for this home was Sherwin-Williams, and most is from the Duration line of products.  

Sunbrella (fabrics)---The choice of Sunbrella fabrics for this Showcase Home was an easy one. This home is all about “living outdoors” with “frequent grandkids traffic.” These and many other factors suggest the need for having durable, easy-to-clean, color-fast fabrics. Sunbrella was the only choice!  

Chevrolet (support for the Open House and local charities)--- We knew we could count on Chevrolet to help us help the community.

 Marmi Natural Stone (vanity marble countertops)---Marmi seems to have the best selection of marble in the southeast---and, perhaps the most helpful staff to help with the choices.

 Swingbedsonline (swinging bed)---When the swing bed that we ordered online was delivered, we were pleasantly surprised about its quality. And, it came covered with Sunbrella fabric. This swing bed will be around for a long time.

Primo

Primo (ceramic grill)---A ceramic grill just seemed to fit our plan for energy conservation and variable cost. After evaluating several manufacturers, Primo seemed to be the best value.

 Lane Manufacturing (stainless steel countertops)---Stainless steel countertops are just becoming part of cutting edge designs in residential settings. The selection of Lane Manufacturing to develop our stainless steel countertops has proven to be one of our best decisions.
