Aquatic Centers Located on the bank of the Tennessee River and skirting through the Flint
Creek, the Point Mallard Park offers several magnificent facilities, which make holidays worthwhile for every
tourist visiting the park.

* Wave Pool – is a fan-shaped pool, which is 180-feet long and 75-feet wide at the deep end. This pool is great fun
for all as it allows you to splash in its continuously bubbling waves.
* Olympic Pool – is a sister facility of the wave pool and is known for hosting events like National AAU Outdoor
Dive Championships and Junior National Diving Championship.
* Water Slide – is an 1100 feet high three-flume ride, which starts on the top of a 50-foot high hill, carrying the
bathers down a twisting and curving water-spray to a 1200-square-foot pool.
* Sky Pond – is a 40-foot tall tower, which allows thrilling inner tube riding to adventure seekers at up to 50
miles per hour.

The hiking/biking trail is a three mile long trip, which begins at the miniature golf course, fringes along the
wooded banks of the Tennessee River and culminates at the Championship golf course. The recreation center includes
a fully equipped racquetball court, game room, weight room, basketball courts, meeting rooms, and concession

Ideal time to visit Point Mallard Park
Point Mallard Park is owned and operated by The City of Decatur. The weekend hours are offered around mid-August
through Labor Day Weekends. The opening hours of Point Mallard Park are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays are special for the
park authority allows half-price admission from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Each Thursday, on the other hand is special
half-price admission night from 5p.m.-9 p.m. Individual season passes are $65, adults $15 (12 and above); children
$10 (5-11 years old); children under 4 accompanied by an adult will have free entries.
