Whatever your educational needs, you will find a facility nearby. You are covered from preschool through college courses in the surrounding communities and Cherokee County. Just a few of the options include the following.

This region is fortunate to have several universities and additional two-year colleges.  Below are a few of those.

1.   Gadsden State Cherokee---Centre, AL/4 miles from Cedar Bluff

Gadsden State Cherokee offers two-year academic and technical courses and degree programs, with Nursing Education being one the main areas of focus.  The School has partnered with local health care institutions and providers to allow enrolled students to obtain clinical training in conjunction with academic training.  All courses for the Schools LPN program are available at this campus. 

2.   Jacksonville State University---Jacksonville, AL/30 miles from Cedar Bluff

Jacksonville State University offers full degree programs and provides distinctive academic  experience for its students.  As a public, comprehensive university, Jacksonville State University promotes excellence in scholarly and service activities consistent with its academic and professional strengths.

3. University of Alabama-Gadsden Center---Gadsden, AL/30 miles from Cedar Bluff  

As part of The University of Alabama's division of Academic Outreach, the Gadsden Center offers flexible and convenient programs designed for working adults.

4 .   Berry College---Rome, GA/25 miles from Cedar Bluff

Berry College is a comprehensive liberal-arts college with Christian values. Nationally recognized for both quality and value, Berry is an independent, coeducational college of approximately 1,850 students that offers exceptional undergraduate degree programs in the sciences, humanities, arts and social sciences, as well as undergraduate and master’s level opportunities in business and teacher education.

5 .   Georgia Highlands College---Rome, GA/25 miles from Cedar Bluff

Since 1970, Georgia Highlands College has served the citizens of Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. Founded as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 5,700 students in the region.  It became a limited-mission, four-year state college in May 2011.

6 .   Shorter University---Rome, GA/25 miles from Cedar Bluff

Shorter University is a Christian-based 4 year college affiliated with the Georgia Baptist system.
