The spacious campgrounds are equipped with tables, bathhouses, grills, a country store, hot showers, utility connections and play areas. There is also a Nature Center where naturalists are always on duty to introduce you to several rare species of plants and animals.

There is an 18-hole championship golf course and pro shop at the State Park that offers a practice driving range and chipping facilities. In addition to the course and practice facilities, the clubhouse offers color TV, snacks, showers and a supply of golfing equipment.

While you are in Guntersville State Park, you can enjoy the Eagle Awareness program that has been hosted in Guntersville since for over eighteen years. In this program, you can take a guided tour to watch a variety of majestic bald eagles. The Lake Guntersville Lodge complex was opened in April 15, 1974. As you travel through the lodge area, you will probably be impressed with huge dark stained beams of laminated Alabama pine.
